[200% Efficiency] Stop setting it up every time! Mastering AlphaCut 'templates'
Pete

"Are you wasting time setting the font, subtitle position, and color... every single time you make Shorts?"
AlphaCut's 'template' feature eliminates tedious repetitive tasks. Save a design that fits your channel perfectly just once. Your custom style will be automatically applied to all future Shorts you create.
1. Basic Structure of AlphaCut Shorts
Before we dive in, let's look at the elements that make up Shorts created with AlphaCut. Using a template, you can customize and save all the parts shown in the image below as you like.
① Shorts Title: AI a hooking title to grab viewers' attention is automatically generated.
② Channel Info (Profile Image/Channel Name):
- When creating via YouTube link: Automatically imports the profile image and name of that YouTube channel.
- When uploading a file: Displays the channel name you set manually.
③ Original Video Title: Imports the YouTube video title or the filename of the uploaded file.
④ layout: The area where the original video is placed.
⑤ Background: Choose between colors or images.
⑥ Elements: Upload and place images, videos, audio, and text.
⑦ Subtitles: AI automatically recognizes speech to create subtitles.
Keeping this structure in mind will make the setup much easier!
2. What can you customize in a template?
A. Text and Information
By default, for all text information, the usage, position, and style can be determined.
- Shorts Title: The AI-generated title consists of two lines by default, and you can set the color and style for each line. (e.g., white for the top line, yellow highlight for the bottom line)
- After creating the Shorts, you can freely change the color or size character by character in the editing screen.
- Channel Info: You can choose whether to use the YouTube channel profile image. For the channel name, you can use the YouTube channel name as is or enter it manually.
- Original Video Title: You can add prefixes/suffixes like
[Full Version],<...>to the original title.
B. layout
- Aspect Ratio:
16:9,4:3,3:4and other basic ratios, as well as dual video layout, and free customization. Drag the corners to adjust the size and drag the inside of the box to move it to your desired position. - dead zone Display: You can safely place elements by previewing areas that might be covered by the YouTube Shorts UI (like buttons, descriptions) or cut off depending on the device.
- What is a dual video layout?
- It's a layout that splits the screen into top and bottom sections, allowing you to display different areas of the video in each.
C. Subtitles
- Subtitle Settings: You can toggle subtitles on/off and adjust the tempo by choosing from 5 levels of characters per line.
- Animation: Provides 6 animation effects to bring your subtitles to life.
- Karaoke: Highlights the spoken word with color
- Bounce: Enlarges the size of the spoken word
- Karaoke Bounce: Combines color highlight and size enlargement
- Box: Displays a background box behind the spoken word
- Bounce Group: The entire sentence bounces at once
- Typing: Characters appear sequentially like a typewriter
- Fill Empty Time: Automatically fills the gaps between subtitles to keep the previous subtitle visible until the next one starts.Subtitles are displayed seamlessly, making the viewing experience feel more stable.
- Fixed Subtitle Background Width: You can fix the width of the subtitle background so all subtitles have the same background width regardless of text length. This is useful for visual consistency or when using the background to cover up existing subtitles burned into the original video.
D. Elements and Background
- Elements (Image/Video/Audio/Text)
- Image: Add brand logos (YouTube, SOOP, CHZZK, etc.) or upload your own images.
- Video: Upload effect videos or additional videos to play alongside your Shorts.
- Audio: Upload and add your desired music or BGM.
- Text: Add and place any text you want on your Shorts.
- Background: Keep it black by default, fill it with a specific color or glass effect, or upload your own background image.
💡 Note: When you add an element to a template, it will be placed throughout the entire produced Shorts by default. However, you can use the 'Edit' feature of the generated Shorts to freely adjust the exposure time so the element only appears at specific moments.
E. Video Effects
- Highlight hook: A feature where AI automatically captures the most exciting 3–7 seconds and places it at the very beginning of the video. This powerful feature prevents viewer drop-off and can be toggled on or off as needed.
- Playback Speed: Adjust the playback speed of the video. Create fast-paced Shorts without any dragging sections.
